How To Register to Vote
In Texas, citizens do not register by political party, but simply register in their county of residence.
Texas DOES NOT offer fully-online voter register. However, there are several ways to register to vote, some of which include using an online system for filling out the application that must then be printed, signed, and submitted.
To register to vote you may do any of the following:
- Fill out online, print, sign, and mail the voter registration application;
- Register in person at your county Voter Registrars office:
- Request a postage-paid application by filling out this form so a voter registration application can be mailed to you,
- Pick up mail-in applications at libraries, post offices, driver’s licenses offices, high schools or you county Voter Registrars office. Fill it out, sign, and mail the application.
- Or register in person with a Volunteer Deputy Registrar(VDR) at a League voter registration event.
