Voters Guide

Our nonpartisan State Voters Guide: includes state offices on the ballot  and is available free to the public.   They will be distributed as soon as they are available.

New issues of the Voters Guide are published prior to the start of early voting cycle for each election.

There will be no printed Voters Guides for the May 7 constitutional amendments and local election or the May 24 Primary Runoff election.

Voters Guide Information Collection

To compile the Voters Guide information, the state league invites every candidate in competition for state office to provide information. They send questions to all candidates in major contested races. They list the names of unopposed candidates, but do not send them questionnaires.

League members verify accurate contact information provided by various election entities and the Texas Secretary of State. The League formulates all candidate questions through a rigorous questions committee process. Candidate replies are printed without editing or verification of content. Candidates are asked to avoid negative references to their opponents, and we reserve the right to redact portions that do not meet our guidelines. Candidates must submit answers by the deadline provided to be included in the printed version. Responses may be updated after the print deadline on Vote411.org.

Vote411.org, a one-stop online resource for upcoming elections, is made possible by the League of Women Voters Education Fund. Simply enter your address to find your polling place, build your ballot with our online Voters Guide, and compare candidates side by side.

You May Bring a Printed Voters Guide into the Voting Booth!

Mobile electronic devices are prohibited in the voting booth, but the law allows you to take a printed Voters Guide with you. You can also use the interactive version online at Vote411.org to print your choices to take with you.

How the Voters Guide is funded
